MUEDsat

MUEDsp saturation

A free transformer saturation plugin

Transformer color, taken straight out of the mastering chain I work with. Free.

Free. Just grab it and try it on your own music.

The MUEDsat plugin interface: a large DRIVE knob glowing ember, and a black-glass window on the right showing the transfer curve and a live THD readout.

What it is

Not a demo or a trial — it's the transformer-saturation stage of the master chain I actually use, pulled out and made free (its finished form, MUEDsp masterchain, is in development). Push it for obvious grit, or back it off until it just sits under the sound.

The same MUEDsat interface, side by side: idle on the left (transfer curve near-linear, THD 0.00%) and driven on the right (curve bent, DRIVE glowing, THD 7.42%).

Idle (dry)

Driven (saturating)

Four knobs, nothing hidden.

DRIVE
how hard you push the transformer (more = more harmonics).
Mix
blend with the dry signal (parallel saturation).
Air
a touch of clean high-shelf sheen.
Output
level trim.

Plus a true-dry bypass toggle, for honest A/B. Zero latency, no oversampling artifacts (ADAA).

Why it's free — and why I ask for your email

MUEDsat is completely free — nothing locked or time-limited. I ask for your email only to send the download link and to let you know when I update it (or when MUEDsp masterchain is ready). Your email is the price of the download, not the plugin. No spam; unsubscribe anytime.

In development

MUEDsat is one stage of MUEDsp masterchain — the finished chain I'm building now.
